Columbia University, officially named Columbia University in the city of New York, is a private Ivy League research university. Columbia University is located in Manhattan, New York. It was founded in 1754. The university has about 31 000 students, international student account for about quarter of all the students. The Columbia University’s most renowned faculties are medical, business, legal and educational sciences. There are over nine million books in the library of Columbia University. One semester in the university costs about 70,000 dollars, but the school gives a lot of financial aid to almost every student. It was mind-blowing to know that every student that graduates is guaranteed to leave the school without any student loans. Columbia University is one of the few school in United States that guarantees it. In 2016 the University’s entrance rate was about 6%, so you have to do the application process really well. Columbia University has many notable alumni. The tour of the university was interesting and impressive. Visiting and hearing about the Columbia University made me want to apply to the school.
